Nostradamus on the independence of Scotland and the fate of Britain

The main outcome of voting in the UK May 5, 2011 became a sensational victory for the Scottish Nationalist Party in elections in Scotland. For the first time in history where the nationalists formed a majority government, which plans to soon announce a referendum on secession of Scotland from the United Kingdom.

For the first time since 1999, when the Labour government headed by Tony Blair has developed and conducted through Parliament a new electoral system in the Scottish legislative assembly (the main purpose of reform was to prevent the emergence of a solid majority), in Scotland, a government, which relies on the support of one faction in the local parliament . And this fraction was the Scottish National Party (SNP), led by Alex Salmond, received 69 seats in the 129-seat parliament. Although in 2007 the SNP managed Scotland, heading a minority government, a few weeks ago the nationalists in the polls far behind Labour. We turn to the quatrains of Nostradamus, and see what he says about the fate of Scotland. The French predictor has several quatrains with a reference to this region. Here is one: 

Century 5 quatrain 93

Under the round lunar globe,
When will dominate Mercury
Scotland Island is a torch
Which defeats the British (another translation: who slept British).

The first two lines of verse rather vague. It can be assumed that the "rule of Mercury indicates the time when the society will be in first place of commodity-money relations (which may point to our time), because Mercury in Roman mythology - the god of commerce. The last two lines speak for themselves: the British in any way be affected due to Scotland. It is noteworthy that Nostradamus refers to Scotland, island, although it is not. One could assume that this is an allusion to her independence. 

Continuing the theme of the fate of the UK, we recall that according to Formula Caesar one of the quatrains pertaining to this country to get a date - 2026.

In analyzing this verse we can make two assumptions: either the United Kingdom would be really flooded due to, for example, melting glaciers, or we are talking about the war on its territory (often Nostradamus described the war as rain or flood, meaning the shedding of blood). The last lines, obviously, is also spoken about the war. Given the ambiguity of the nebula, and the majority of quatrains, do not exclude any other interpretation of the above verses.
